It's all cool to me when people want to mod their cars or reverse their mods for the pleasure or whatever of having the car one way or another. But for the sake of methodical knowledge... how did you test for this? If you are relying on tank-to-tank differences, you can't know what effect the tire pressure and discs had. That's because there are far too many variables that will confound your results. And there are substantial tests here and even racing and mythbusters results that prove the opposite of your experience. I like to think of some mods as part of a trickle of small improvements, nearly impossible to detect sometimes, that when added up yield detectable aggregated improvements.
