Maybe just lowering the car would be nice but I read up a little and found out more frontal area is not always better.
If the "lip" or airdam you propose reduces the amount of air going into the very aero-messy regions under the car more than it increases the effective frontal area by pushing air to the sides of the car, you win in terms of CD and FE.
