I agree with Mech completely on the CX. As the third best, sixth gen option, consider the DX HATCH. It had the same gearing as the HX (taller than the DX coupe/sedan) and it was lighter (2242lbs curb weight). It's a nice platform if the HX and CX (in that order) cannot be found.
