edit: scratch the last couple q's, scca is america, i just noticed ur in scotland which would explain the 535i which didnt make it to the usa, we only got the 525i, 530i, and 540i until 1989 then it was only a short run till 93 when it was replaced by the m60 engine family. |

as for Highway/motorway consumption.
Not done a tank solely on work commute yet £107 to fill is expensive!
on the days its used sporadically, round town /short high speed trips its doing a combined 23 uk mpg..
