You did get the 535i at least, its listed on fueleconomy.gov

as for Highway/motorway consumption.

Not done a tank solely on work commute yet £107 to fill is expensive!

on the days its used sporadically, round town /short high speed trips its doing a combined 23 uk mpg..

By the way, people have reported mpg gains with those 30 EUR performance DME chips from ebay. The M30 3.5i is also quite restricted from factory so I guess there is room for improvement with "chip tuning".
If you`re into weight savings, the center exhaust silencer weighs about 30lbs and there is absolutely no need for it in a track car plus the engine breathes better at high revvs.

A chip may be on the cards, but the m30 is done and dusted by 5000rpm, taking the limiter to 7200, and altering fuelling will at best only mean avoiding having to shift to 4th to get to 110mph..

As for the exhaust, luckily the car is too old for any CAT based nonsense, so if and when the exhaust packs up (not long, based on it having 264k on it!) it'll get "warpipes"

Just back from the Dyno session at Whitburn..

201.6bhp @5888rpm

212.0 lb/ft @4305rpm

Seeems like we need to focus on brakes and suspension then..

the 245k mile boat anchor is within 5% of its original bhp

Indeed, fairly impressed..

So now I need to

1. Figure out how to mount the Bucket seats (possibly using original seat mounts)
2. Sort the Battery Drain
3. Get the Wipers working
4. Figure out how to fit new suspension
5. Get the underside all bellypanned up
6. Source tyres
