Happy new year, everyone.

I'm looking forward to playing more with the UFO (2000 Honda Insight 5-speed) next summer. It's currently parked for the winter.

I don't have a specific overall fuel economy goal in mind, but I'm aiming to make it easier to maintain 100 mpg (US) lean burn cruising at 80 km/h (~50 mph) on the level (that's the speed limit on secondary roads around here)

Mods planned:
  • refurbish the hybrid battery pack to enable assist/regen functions, which I haven't been using to date
  • then promptly install an assist disable switch, so I have control over when I burn my electrons. Also add the max regen switch
  • maybe some more aero mods like: better undertray? wheel discs?
Oh what the heck: I want a boat tail too!

But I've already listed more things than I'll probably accomplish for the year!
