I wish I had the readouts on my UG that you have, Sentra. My car is too old, apparently. This test leaves questions only suggestively answered. I would think that warming the car up to running temps during the first miles of this 10.4 mile trip would mean you could then hypermile the remaining 7 or 8 miles, with the EOC pulses not needing to heat-up the CAT but rather only maintain its heat. If a mile and a half of DFCO does not cool the CAT enough to make it function poorly, then it stands to reason that EOC glides with short pulses could keep the CAT lit longer too.
See my car's mod & maintenance thread and my electric bicycle's thread for ongoing projects. I will rebuild Black and Green over decades as parts die, until it becomes a different car of roughly the same shape and color. My minimum fuel economy goal is 55 mpg while averaging posted speed limits. I generally top 60 mpg. See also my Honda manual transmission specs thread.
