Doh, I totally forgot about the engine auto-off on the manual transmission Gen1 Insight! I only ever got to drive one once, but boy was it fun.
I'm sure there's some good reasons why they were only doing the auto-engine off on the automatic transmission Kia Soul. Obviously if it was done on the Insight, manufacturers could choose to offer it on a manual transmission version as well.
