Under certain conditions, the hybrids can get amazing fe... way more than I could ever get! But I think for the long, 65 - 70 mph, AC on, cruise control on kind of drive, its hard to beat the vw diesel. Admittedly, I do some eo(n)c on the longer downhills, and I try to stay (a safe distance) behind larger vehicles (anything that disrupts the air in front of me helps), but overall it's relatively easy to get the fe I'm getting.
