I actually HAVE been looking at the metal loops on the front of some motorcycles recently. Seems like a good idea for keeping the bike off my ankles. I like the simple style of my motorcycle, but me being the widest thing on it doesn't seem so smart.

When I test rode the Brammo Enertia, I noticed that the sides were flat, and the bike was very narrow. It did have plastic side covers, so I suppose that if you laid it down, at least the weight would be spread out.

I think one of the biggest parts of what I did was that one of the frame members lined up exactly on my ankle.
