I have a question!

I installed some new speakers in my car and I attached them to the plastic(?) door panel rather than the stock mounting bracket in the car. I'm fairly pleased with the result, but my question is this: will the low-end response be better if it's attached to the frame rather than to do the plastic door panel, even though the front and rear of the speaker won't be isolated from each other?
