Success?

Ultra Gauge fail: gauge said I had used 7.86 gallons over 609.0 miles (77.5mpg). But with my usual method (see fuel log) the pump gave me 9.14 gallons for 67.73 mpg. That's just 0.01 mpg below my all-time high. Oh! And this fill bumped my all time high out of my 90 average, so my ave did not change. Hahaha!

First time UG made such a big error. I think its because of multiple battery disconnects on the way to repairing battery and resolving charging issues. The good news is I now have two fully function 12 deep cycle batteries and the proper charging method. My alt is now always off (once again), and maybe I'll get a new high on this next cycle. But since I have to smog it, a new high will be unusually difficult.

I will rebuild Black and Green over decades as parts die, until it becomes a different car of roughly the same shape and color. My minimum fuel economy goal is 55 mpg while averaging posted speed limits. I generally top 60 mpg. See also my Honda manual transmission specs thread.
