The CX trans is out of the car. It needs rebuilt anyways, might as well just open it up and count the teeth. I will check also with a local expert too. All my googling points to a "Mista Bone" as a D series tranny expert. Suprisingly I used to post on a local message board with him 15 years ago and I am pretty sure he still lives in Cincinnati. Time to drop him a note.
