I typically buy at the local parts store and trust their catalogue to point me at the right options. I'm sure others will chime in with advice.
5-speed also, I trust?
One of the first things to do is get a ScanGauge or equivalent - the biggest fuel savings comes from sharpening driving techique first; mods are gravy on top of that.
