Hi everybody :D

Hi, Im not only new to ecomodding, im fairly new to cars as well, and have been working on improving my knowledge lately, I just purchased a 2000 Chevy Metro, Plan on at least doing the Boat tail thing i saw on here in the future, and probably removing the AC as well...

In the mean time I need to replace the Oxygen sensors and the EGR valve, looking up how to guides, it looks like both will be pretty easy for me, but since im new I felt asking for advice, not just on how to, but also on where/what is the best to buy, would be a smart decision, and since I was already around here lurking, reading through all your awesome conversations, decided to join in and get down to learning even more with your help

thanks ahead of time, for any good advice you can give me.

oh im especially interested at the moment in advice for the oxygen sensors, ive found numerous ones that will supposedly work for my car, but none of the guides ive found suggest any specific type,lol.. so im not really sure what type to buy, the installation seems easy enough though.

I typically buy at the local parts store and trust their catalogue to point me at the right options. I'm sure others will chime in with advice.

5-speed also, I trust?

One of the first things to do is get a ScanGauge or equivalent - the biggest fuel savings comes from sharpening driving techique first; mods are gravy on top of that.

Welcome to the forum!

Thanks, yeah its a 5 speed manual , thanks, I checked there, but everything they sell is a lot more expensive than what ive found online, im just not sure if im supposed to use a downstream or upstream, as both are listed as working for my car, and even at my parts store locally they weren't sure XD lol

Edit: oh and I plan on getting one in the near future, or at least building one, after I get this whole oxygen sensor and EGR valve thing taken care of so I can smog it...
