I think federally required neutering after the third kid would do nicely, for the girl and the guy. Is a third kid really worth having your balls chopped off? It would give a new urgency to birth control.

My wife loads trucks, fixes computers and furniture and manages a warehouse. She understands from a very practical standpoint what energy efficiency means - her own energy first, the energy her company has to pay for second.

On the other topic - and how is this related to ecomodding? - I've been saying for 20 years this planet is overpopulated. My own two kids notwithstanding, I'd recommend that in the future every couple be granted half a birthright. Two people come together to yield one child: that's it, they're done having kids. Congratulations, drop trou and this won't hurt a bit.

I'd like to see the US attain and hold a population of 200 million. Yes, I'm aware that's 100 million fewer than there are now.

God willing, that would empty the slums in fairly short order, just a generation or two.
