Under certain conditions my HCH with the manual will operate in EV mode. The IMA will power the entire drivetrain including backdriving the engine, which is turning in an unpowered state. No spark, no fuel.
It won't do it under any significant load, but it will do it. Slight downgrades at very modest speeds, I can see as much as a half-mile of EV-only operation.
Bosch's facts are wrong. They might have some merit in the current climate, if there is an absence of manny-tranny hybrids on the market (anyone?), but not historically.
