It is not a documented case. This story and your comments about it is evidence of an internet rumor, but not of an actual event without independent corroboration in the records of the authorities it invokes. And corroboration should be easy. There is no reason for "Jay" to hide anymore, since the story itself says the law has been "running its course" and "they" already know who "Jay" is and where he lives. So this whole thing should just be out in the open. If it were credible, it would offer full names for the victims and the officers and perhaps specific court dates and docket numbers, but it does not, which should raise suspicions about the authenticity of this account for any critical reader. But when you realize it looks like scores of internet rumors regularly debunked at snopes.com, you should also realize it's almost certainly bogus and not worth pursuing.
