Hardly worth the effort then. If you want to be honest and have something that actually works, that is. You'd only be able to sell 100 - 200 units a year (assuming $500 to $1000 ea). The overhead would kill you if the suppressors don't. Sounds like a "lose, lose" approach... you lose because you can't make enough money, and customers lose because they can't buy more than a limited amount.
Maybe get into a different line of work? Maybe wheels? $1200 for 4 (and everybody buys at least 4) ... the profit margin must be huge on those. Demand for American made stuff is high and there are a lot of people out of work, especially in manufacturing. You'd be able to "kill two birds with one stone". And as far as I know, there is no limit on how much you can make per year.
Or something else? Goal is to make money, right?
