Ah, sorry... didn't realize the spooks would have access to your financials so they would know how much of your income was profit vs. COGS.
That doesn't really make sense though, right? Wouldn't they care more about how many units were sold vs how much profit you make? I mean, if you sell 1 million of these units a year at only $0.10 profit, you'd still make your "safe" $100,000 profit but the oil companies would be screwed. You're saying they won't bother you?
Even so, why would you want to put all that effort into something that has an artificial profit limit? You're obviously a smart fellow; if you can come up with a great solution that will save people money, you should be rewarded appropriately. If you profit more than $100,000 but really don't want more than that for yourself, then give the rest away to your favorite charity... don't let the oil companies dictate the limit of how much you can profit from your hard work and dedication!
