Linear Logic is not hopeful the diesel setting will be useful, but if it were me, I'd try to calibrate it and see what happens. What have you got to lose?

In Europe they were slower to adopt standards, even though they required OBD2 in 2000 for gasoline, there were a few vehicles that did not follow all of the rules yet. It sounds like this may be one of them.
