Brief stats update: US gas prices have continued to drop since starting the Facebook project. Average price is around ~2.5 year lows & still dropping. It's still the dominant factor driving forum activity.

Actually, new member signups were at an all-time low for Oct.
Find a graph of gas prices. Replace the "gas price" axis label with "forum activity" and it works pretty well.

One thing that's
relatively steady (down only slightly this month) is the "new posts" stat. We obviously have a steady core group of people who are here because the subject interests them beyond just the pocketbook.
As for FB activity: incoming FB visitors have climbed up list of referring sites, to position #13 (desktop) and #15 (mobile). Contributing about 945 combined pageviews in the last 30 days.
