I subjected the wheel discs to another trip today (yes, slacked off and went snowboarding again). ~270 km / 168 mi. including speeds up to ~110 km/h and moderate/heavy freeway traffic for a portion. It was mostly for the sake of research... the snowboarding was just a bonus.

All that were on the car when I left were still on the car when I got back! (He says, with a note of surprise in his voice.)

Though I will say that 16 magnet chunks are better than 8.

I ran out of magnets, so put one disc on the car that had only 8. It went on a rear wheel, under the skirt (thinking it's better protected from the wind). It didn't come off, but one edge lifted up. Needs moar magnets.
