This is a very good idea on any turbo cars. In fact on the turbo diesel I never shut then engine off during the coast phase. Better safe than sorry.

Nice work! This looks very stealthy but makes a big difference in coast times. I'm surprised more cars don't come this way. I have had a full belly pan for four years and have had no trouble with it even when I got high centered on a snow bank. It just slid right off undamaged. Note to readers in snowy climates. I did have to extend the rear fender liner all the way to the belly pan to seal off around the rear wheels. The first winter snow would blow in there and turn to ice over the course of the winter.

Just a thought. Most tape I have used softens up with heat. You may want to add some self drilling screws around your cat-con.
