I'm not espousing it, Frank, just playing "what if" with it.
The new 4-banger into the Vega is, however, not a dreadful idea. It's a significant power increase but not the order of magnitude the Big Block Chevette has to contend with. It would probably do with some chassis reinforcement - indeed, with a Vega that might be mandatory in any case - but nothing too crazy.
