Crank pulley machining, undertray framing

Crank shaft pulley machining

The crank shaft pulley weighs 7lbs (I measured on a scale while holding it, then putting it down and observing the difference). I had thought to have it machined to a single pulley conversion to save weight. I won't be doing that because I'll lose the hex shaped spot for the pulley holder that you need when removing and installing the pulley. Also, there seems to be a rubber "balancer" in the pulley, which would be damaged by machining for a single pulley. The weight loss is not worth it.

Undertray framing

Most of the time I have for the car is taken up with repairs right now... but I did mount the framing under the car, making some spacers from used PVC type pipe.

Progress requires patience.
