That powder is specifically engineered to dissapate heat.
I have several types at my shop, but I'm using a poly hybrid powder. Essentially, a really sweet plastic coating.
It may cause it to be a tad warmer, but I don't think it would matter too much. ....
You know what, I'll get the infrared laser thermometer out and do a test. I'll check the temp of the block, heads and covers now, uncoated to get a baseline. Then after the build, I'll check again to see what differences there are. I'm sure there will be differences, because of the swap from iron to aluminum.
