Adapter Plate Ready!

I got a call tonight from the machinist. He has the adapter plate cut out.

I went over there and got to see it. He has the Lovejoy welded to the clutch hub and the plate was loosely screwed to the tranny bell housing.

He cut an access hole in the bottom of the housing so that we can get a hand in there to line up the couplers.

I took the motor end cap home with me (in a backpack, on the electric cycle). I think that end cap weighs as much as the entire motor for the cycle!!!!

Now I have to put the motor mostly back together so I can see what distance is needed between the transmission and motor. The two will need spaces to make up whatever space that is.
