I'm at a loss to understand what's going on with your car, Balto.

It worked perfectly in my car, and I just did a quick search at InsightCentral and wasn't able to find any obvious thread where someone's car had the same symptoms you're describing.

Are your climate control and all defrost settings switched off? Autostop won't normally work if you have it running on either max setting (hot/cold) or defrost. Maybe that's what's trying to restart the engine.
