Hello and welcome.

I am not very knowledgeable about chip tuning on gas engine but I believe it has to do with boosting fuel pressure to restore performance potential that is already there before the car emissions are taken into account.
I don't think chip tuning is gonna allow for more MPG out of a gas engine.

At least it depends on the route you have to use.

Maybe if you do a fair amount of highway it can improve the pulse of your pulse & glide ?
