I guess it depends on how much you depend on yer mirror angle of view. By removing the outside mirrors and just using the blind spot mirror to see rearward, you will miss out on the view along side yer vehicle and back. Because the exterior mirror is outside, it provides that angle of view that the interior blind spot mirror can never achieve. I personally didn't feel comfortable with the outside mirror (folded in in my case) view missing especially when I was trying to back up.
