I think the idea is to let turbulent air from the tire and well reattach without blowing out from the wheel well and disturbing more of the flow. It might, in a sense, reduce the effective frontal area caused by the "blast" of turbulent air from the wheel well. Another question is about how aggressive the planned angle is... it is much more aggressive than the OEM gen 1 insight was. Any reason for that?
