Centurion's transmission is ready for battle!
The transmission needed a couple synchro-rings, a bearing, and layshaft. Luckily the overdrive screen is as fine as it is. Certain destruction was averted by the screen capturing a few internal kung-fu shooting stars destined for the overdrive's pump. ![EEK!](/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif)

Those keeping track will remember a few posts back of a weight reduction through a shorter exhaust system fabricated for Centurion and going from about 28lbs down to 7lbs will be helpful for trying to top Centurion's 2015 Green Grand Prix performance.
-
And as long as a diet is on the itinerary, here's another decent weight shave - an aluminum bellhousing:

Getting the bellhousing on the transmission was fairly easy.

Bolting up to the engine was not. Several places around the bell needed grinding away of material so the adapter bolts would recess into it. This allowed for a nice flat fit against the plate - the way it should be.
-
All assembled, it's time to give Centurion her soul back:

When lifting the assembly, the overhead beam didn't creak this time! ![Thumbs up](/forum/images/smilies/grinning-smiley-003.gif)
