Most people use coroplast to fill in the gaps. For the rear, we cover the entire fender well to reduce drag even farther.
You are getting good mpgs! The aero mods will take you to new heights, so do this asap
FWIW, I'm down nearly 10% in my FE because I took my air dam and my front and rear belly pan off to get my car painted. I haven't had chance to put them back on
