I'm confident I haven't spent that much at a dealership in my entire life, let alone per year. Sounds like a bogus stat to make their warranty seem like a good deal. Caveat Emptor.

I think this is a gross generalization. I've had several "US branded" trucks that required little to no maintenance and were generally quite reliable. Meanwhile, my Honda is costing me an arm and a leg in maintenance (just almost nothing spent at dealerships).
