my concern would be 'too hot'.
if you try it and it get's too hot, then you cant reverse the harm done to all the small plastic parts and wiring.

but you are making a false assumption. the 'intake" is not from the engine bay. the intake comes from outside air. Heating up the engine bay to effect the intake is not correct. run a tube into the intake from the manifold.

Belive me, it gets hot enough in the engine bay as it is. adding 10% or 20% more heat will be destructive and not effective.
Hot is hot. Hotter is not better.
