Lyft is having a promotion, at least in the Phoenix area, of guaranteeing $800 per week (for the first four weeks). Apparently, you need to be logged in fifty hours(!), drive 35 rides, and accept 90% of rides. This is limited to the first thousand applicants.

Of course, my car is way too old, but I could rent a car through Enterprise for $660 (for a month).

I do not work full-time, but I already spend a couple hours a day driving--they combine to 30 hours before planning activities for my clients, but that is before cancellations and no-shows. I have not had any cancellations this week, but have already had five no-shows! I receive half pay when they are not there, but I never know what to do with the forty minutes or so I have left over.

Can I work eighty hours a week for four weeks, mostly driving, to make around $2,500 more than my permanent (I hope!) job?

That permanent job pays about the same amount, but I cannot pick up extra hours.
Anyway, I need to get back to my progress reports. Those are due in four days.
