From 2006 to 2011 I did not own a dryer. Only a clothes line.
We did the clothes line thing for many years. This is my first dryer, and it was free maybe 6 years ago. The clothesline thing can get old when you are crammed for space, neighbors grimmace, and morning fogs dampen your clothes for days. When it briefly looked tough to fix yesterday, we did a quick price check for highly rated, durable gas dryers. $800 was the ballpark (I know there are cheaper units). That gave me renewed motivation!

Also, found $3.18 in change from the 60s through the 00s, most of it from 1980s and 1990s, inside the machine, burried under a thck lint carpet. This thing might be older than 16 years.
