2004 Prius government science project? $1500

Brave or stupid to consider this?

Former government car with TWO ailing hybrid packs, display problem, but only 172k km = 107k miles.

2004 Toyota Prius with a mileage of 172,000 km.

This car has several issues, so please consider this in your decision to purchase this vehicle. I'm mainly selling it as the HV battery seems to be on its way out. As such, this is a final sale sort of deal. It will be up to you to inspect it at your expense.

---Issues---
1. Car currently displays master warning light on the dashboard along with the check engine light. After about 20 minutes of driving, acceleration is severely affected and it takes about 15 seconds to get to 40 km/h even with the gas pedal completely depressed. This issue is most likely an issue with the HV battery.

2. The display in the car acts up roughly 50% of the time, meaning it's unusable for those times.

3. Car has a $400-$500 repair that needs to be done. The left suspension spring is broken and needs to be changed.

4. I bought this car from the government and they installed another battery in the back of the car. Due to a lack of proper maintenance on their part, that battery doesn't work anymore and takes up the space for the spare tire.

5. Only the driver window rolls down; I think this is related to the first problem though.

Other than that, the car has been maintained regularly. There are fixes available for both the battery and the display, but you need to be pretty handy to fix them. Ideally this car would be good for anyone wanting some kind of project and doesn't mind working on hybrids.
