I don't have any comments to add on the process - love it, I can say that much. But it crosses my mind now that we've seen the Firebrid and this rig, that it's going to become more of a thing.

For someone considering another hybrid/old truck combination, I think I would recommend something more along the lines of a Camry Hybrid or Accord Hybrid. The Accord Hybrid could be a particularly good match for duty of this kind; its already set up to drag around a car weighing about 3900 pounds, which is considerably more than all but the largest models of Chevy Advanced Design trucks from the 40s. Substitute a truck's lousy aero for the avoided weight of the Accord and it would probably perform pretty well. And the Accord, unlike the Camry, is available as a plugin hybrid.

Just some thoughts.
