Sounds like there is an elevated risk of a blowout. I replaced my drying and cracking tires that came with my VX wheels on the first sign of bubbling and bulging. I got lots of miles out of them but protect yourself. Check them really carefully--and on the inboard side walls, too. It's not worth a blowout.
