I got the new tires installed on the Insight this morning. $38 for a local tire shop to mount and balance the set! They even let me watch them install the tires and put up with my special request of weighing different rims and tires They aired them up to 40 for me, but by 5 this afternoon I had the tires up to 55 psi lol!

Odometer reading was 245,360. 103.4 miles into my tank @ 58.9 mpg @ installation.

The tires weighed out amazingly well:
1.25 oz
0!
0.25
0.5

First impressions: Around town, acceleration is lagging. I know this from the slight increase in weight along with the tires "gearing up" the car. They don't roll as good as the old Re92s, but this is to be expected as well. I'm having to be a bit more careful to maintain 60 mpg around town.

As promised, I weighed EVERY different piece of tire and rim so that me and everyone else on here and Insight Central can benefit.

Here are the official weights of tires and rims that are G1 Insight-specific!

New Re92's: 12 pounds, 9 ounces
New Re92's w/ stock rim: 22 pounds, 8 ounces
Worn Re92's: 11 pounds, 4-9 ounces
Worn Re92's w/ stock rim: 21 pounds, 8 ounces
Bare stock rim (No stem or center cap): 10 pounds

Here is a missing piece of info I have searched a long time for. I'm glad we finally have it!

Bare Insight spare rim (14x4): 8 pounds, 10 ounces
