Yes, the 7th gen had suspension changes that I didn't like. And the gearing got shorter, even on the HX. But I thought the coupe was good looking. And there is a guy on my Honda transmission specs thread these days revealing surprising swaps of gears with Inihts and 7th gen civics. That would give you nearly VX gearing in a 2005 HX.
