2nd fill: 44 MPG

I need to calibrate the MPGuino, which means starting from a full tank, so I filled up. Results:

44 MPG US = 5.3 L/100 km

That's from the 3/4 full mark on the gauge @ 12.9L / 3.4 gal (US). So yes, it's a bit of a short fill, but I pumped until I could see fuel in the neck, as I did last time. So I think it's probably accurate.

6 mods in place: 50 PSI; AC/PS belt delete; partial grille block; passenger mirror delete; front license plate relocated, which was an aero disaster; pass wiper delete. (I'm still planning to start a dedicated MPGiata modding thread.)

Driving style: about 90% back roads driving (DWL), relaxed cruising on the scenic route (mostly with the top down) at 70-80 km/h (45-50 mph). EOC approaching turns, stops.

So it looks like 50 MPG is not going to be much of a stretch for a modded Miata in my usual driving environment.
