E-test pass. (You beat me to it - I was uploading the pic while you were replying.)
I just have to notify the insurance company and transfer the plates.

No doubt about that! Even $900 on the road was too much, given the amount of work I had to put into the floor.

Let me know if you find a common power for the injectors, I have been contemplating a kill switch. Just no time to look over wiring diagrams and stuff.

Think I could get one more year out of this?
The water pump / alternator belt...
Maybe another reason why the cooling efficiency wasn't at peak (it was slipping).
How old does that look to you?
Maybe it was original equipment! It was so bad, I could crumble it in my fingers.
Time to check that timing belt!!

That's fine. Just hit it with some belt dressing and put it back in!

That belt will last for the life of your car!
With all of the people I have seen saying to use leak stopper or some "ingenious" way of fixing a catalytic converter or whatever, I looked for "fan belt" + "life hack" and "pro-tip."
All that I found was this:

Considering the engine on the NA Miat is non interface, I would just drive it until the belt breaks.

That will be sooner than later, based on the care the previous owner took of some items.
I still haven't pulled the valve cover to check it. (Been working on the MPGuino.)

2nd fill: 44 MPG
I need to calibrate the MPGuino, which means starting from a full tank, so I filled up. Results:
44 MPG US = 5.3 L/100 km
That's from the 3/4 full mark on the gauge @ 12.9L / 3.4 gal (US). So yes, it's a bit of a short fill, but I pumped until I could see fuel in the neck, as I did last time. So I think it's probably accurate.
6 mods in place: 50 PSI; AC/PS belt delete; partial grille block; passenger mirror delete; front license plate relocated, which was an aero disaster; pass wiper delete. (I'm still planning to start a dedicated MPGiata modding thread.)
Driving style: about 90% back roads driving (DWL), relaxed cruising on the scenic route (mostly with the top down) at 70-80 km/h (45-50 mph). EOC approaching turns, stops.
So it looks like 50 MPG is not going to be much of a stretch for a modded Miata in my usual driving environment.
