Both are as roof over prone as can be so safety isn't much of a concern either.
As the survey shows, the #1 reported priority is safety, and people feel safer in large vehicles. We now live in a culture of feelings being considered more true than reality, so if it feels safer, it has to be safer, despite any information to the contrary.
