I've lived with non-family members nearly continuously all my life, including people from Mexico and El Salvador. I'd be happy to take in any good people. Living in the States, our homes are big and our land is plentiful.

My comment was mostly a joke, but to answer your serious warning of a catastrophe to come; history doesn't seem to support your thesis. In the past 100 years, we've had about 8" of sea level rise and associated loss of coastal land. Here's what food supply has done during this same time:
