"California's electric rates are increasing three times the national averge?"

This is one of the claims made by the campaign to not change the Arizona Constitution to mandate renewable energy--funded by the largest power company in the state.

Are they claiming that California's electricity costs three times the national average? I do not think so. When I checked it was at most 50% more.

Is it increasing three times as fast as the average?

Mom just read an article stating that California's rates are increasing because they charged customers to replace some aging pipes, didn't, eight people died, and fifty-eight were injured.

So, the State of California fined them over a billion dollars.

They passed that onto their customers.

So, this has more to do with scumbag electric companies than the economies of renewable energy.
