The model Y is likely to cannibalize demand for the 3, except at the low end.
The 3 is an anomaly, currently (ha), in that it's a sedan with growing sales. Everybody and their insecure dog wants crossovers these days.
It'll be interesting to see what effect the Y has on the 3.
