I met up with an old family friend to share driving to Toronto this weekend: my winter beater Metro to the meeting point, then her 2-door V6 Jeep Wrangler the rest of the way.

It used more than
three times the fuel the Metro would for the same distance!
Nevertheless,
YKYAEM when you realize there's a side-benefit to driving a barn door: it really saves on brakes! Lift off the power and you slow down PDQ.
(This was also the first and only time I've driven another vehicle and been glad to get back into the Metro. 2 door Jeeps are not excellent highway cars.)
